Yes, it is possible but you will need to go through these steps:
1) change the IP address in both /etc/hosts and /etc/resolv.conf files
2) depending on your network configuration/fedora version, you will need
to use network-manager to configure the interface "nmcli con mod ..."
3) update PTR records, if DNS is managed by FreeIPA then you can use the
WebUI to modify the record or "ipa dnsrecord-mod ipa.test ipa --a-rec
${OLD_IP} --a-ip-address ${NEW_IP}"
