In the long term it might be cool if we have a cli or desktop client for
fedocal.
This might need, more work on the API (beside all the work on the client).

It would be nice to have support for CalDAV for easy use of fedocal with
Thunderbird or Evolution.

#130: Vacation page hard to understand

The calendar application used in the Vacation page [1] is not clear about
its purpose.
It gave me the feeling that the actual calendar application was designed
to hold a schedule of meetings of a group of people, but in this page, it
is being used outside of its intended design. We certainly do not need
details down to the hours of absence of people. Therefore I suggest some
improvements. In summary:
-The Time column seems irrelevant. Dates should be sufficient.
-I am not sure about the purpose of the Meeting column. Maybe this needs
to be clarified, or the column needs to be renamed.
- We need a column for the id of the person (FAS username, real name?) who
is absent. Currently, we have to click through each entry to find out
whether a sought person is in vacation.
- Multi line entries get mixed up. Not clear which line belong the which
entry. This needs clarification.
- When I click on the > link next to "July 2014" on the upper left of the
page it takes me to a page which is extremely confusing. Maybe some
explanation is needed about the purpose of that page.
Thanks,
Orcan

#129: Visually distinguish meetings in list view

Current design of list view is somehow confusing - at first sight, one
can't tell where meeting description starts and where it ends. Some kind
of separator between meetings would be nice.
Also, since meeting detail is now pretty polished and there is 'blue box',
it could be more readable if just part of meeting description was shown
and rest of it would be accessible through click.
I did quickfix for this, see attachment for patch.

#122: Meetings times are shifted sometimes

One or two weeks back I started seeing weird meeting times. In QA
calendar, we have Fedora QA meeting. It should occur 17:00-18:00 local
time (UTC+2). Instead, I see it sometimes displayed at 03:00-04:00. But
sometimes it's displayed at a correct time slot.
First I saw this problem in Zimbra, and after refreshing the calendar
everything was OK. So I assumed it was a bug in Zimbra. But this weekend
(and today) I see the problem in Google Calendar as well. But in Fedocal
interface, it looks OK. So I assume there might be a bug in ICS export,
which happens only sometimes. Unfortunately there's no way to force Google
Calendar to refresh external calendars; if I download the current ICS and
open it with Evolution, it looks OK.
I have no idea how to help you debug this, but there's a nasty problem
somewhere.

#125: FedoCal and California cooperation or similar .ics, .ical connection by
desktop apps?

Hi,
Looks like the upcoming Gnome 3.14 release possibly will contain a new
calendar app, that is called California.
https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/California
Yes, totally new app, but perhaps in the future will be useful to have it
as default app for ambassador schedule, and further tasks as desktop
connection. Technically would be cool by FedoCal to provide .ics or .ical
output that can be feeded by Evolution, or California, or by Geary. So the
question is the following:
- Is it possible to have some connection to desktop apps that can eat .ics
or .ical?
- If I modify on my desktop app an event or a note/date is it possible to
update online too?
- Fedmsg support as tasks noting?
