#149: some events randomly either disappear or appear multiplicated many times
over

In the last few weeks, I've been seeing weird issues in our QA calendar
subscribed into my Google Calendar account. Sometimes, certain events
disappear. Sometimes, they appear again. And quite often, they appear
multiplicated - three times, five times, even nine times!
This problem seems to occur only for certain events - for example, I've
never seen it for Fedora QA Meeting or Fedora QA Devel Meeting, but it
happens very frequently for Blocker Review Meeting or certain Test Days.
Maybe it affects only events created after a certain fedocal update?
I have the same experience with Google Calendar in a browser and Google
Calendar on Android - they sometimes multiplicate events. The interesting
this is that they don't do it at the same time - last week I had
multiplicated events on my phone, but in the browser it was fine.
Yesterday I had multiplicated events in the browser, but on my phone it
was fine. Today, both of them are fine.
I'm starting to suspect that this is not a particular calendar client
issue, but I'd probably see this on Evolution from time to time as well,
if I used it regularly. Maybe there's a bug in ics which sometimes
generates duplicate events? Or assigns different IDs to the same event in
time?
During the last week when my phone displayed multiplicated events, the
number of events seemed to be growing each day. So one day, I had three
copies of a particular test day. The next day, I had four, or five. The
same stuff seemed to happen for other multiplicated events as well.

In the long term it might be cool if we have a cli or desktop client for
fedocal.
This might need, more work on the API (beside all the work on the client).

It would be nice to have support for CalDAV for easy use of fedocal with
Thunderbird or Evolution.

#138: reminder email sent at wrong time when timezone is used

Hi,
It seems that the reminder email is sent at incorrect time when timezone
is used in the meeting. For example, the Chinese meeting [1] (21:00 UTC+8)
was configured to send the reminder 12 hours before (9:00 UTC+8), but in
reality it is sent out 4 hour before (17:00 UTC+8). Please take time to
fix the annoying issue. Thanks.

I was thinking it might be neat if you could click on an empty calendar
slot in the calendar grid to add a new meeting. You can click on the
calendar slots to view the details for an existing appointment, so it
seems kind of natural to click on a blank one to make a new meeting in the
slot (ideally for the time slot clicked on!)

Allow a fedocal user to subscribe to an event to get reminders. This may
be easiliy solved by giving the user a shortcut to add the event to the
user's favourite calendar service (google calendar, ical). The reminder
part will then be taken care of by the user's calendar service.

#150: timezone field bug for all day meetings

When selecting "all day meeting", Fedocal grays out the timezone. but then
when you go to submit, it complains that the choice is invalid (but does
at least ungray the field).
Probably the right thing is to just require a timezone, because otherwise,
when does the day start and end?

#148: Blocker Review Meeting disappeared from Google Calendar

There is a "Blocker Review Meeting" in our calendar:
https://apps.fedoraproject.org/calendar/QA/
This week I edited it and changed its timezone from UTC to
America/New_York. I adjusted the whole series this way. Everything seemed
to work correctly.
However, the next day I've found out that Blocker Review Meeting
disappeared from my Google Calendar. It was there before, now it's gone,
it's not even showing in the past.
I can see all other QA meetings just fine, just the Blocker Bug Meeting is
gone.
I downloaded the ics file and imported it into Evolution, and it looks OK
there. So it's a problem that probably affects only certain clients.
