have a look in the x86_64 mock config files there is a line
exclude=*.i386 *.i686 *.athlon *.i586 *.486
to your i386 mock configs add
exclude=*.x86_64
That was easy - thanks for bringing it to my attention! I don't know
why I didn't think of that...
