Dear Max and All,
Just spoke to Rodrigo Padula, responsible for organising Fedora's
presence in FISL.
I know you are on top of things but he'll only be able to produce
(thus distribute DVDs during the event) if receiving the funding
within the next 24 hours.
A 50% deposit is required to begin DVDs printing, then the remaining
50% when receiving them.
I tried to send the money via Paypal, but Rodrigo didn't want that (or
couldn't take it -- I was unclear).
I tried to send via Western Union online, but I wasn't allowed to send to
Brazil.
I tried to send via a Western Union office, but they were having technical
difficulties.
I will try to wire it again on Thursday morning from a different Western
Union office. I know it's urgent, unfortunately it's also not simple to
move money internationally. :-)
David -- can you guys pay for the first 50% of the DVDs to begin printing,
or is there no cash available for any payments until you get the money
from me?
I'm going to need pictures or scans of the invoices in order to make sure
that I can get reimbursed for the money that I'm wiring to you guys out of
my own pocket.
Thanks David -- I realize that the situation is less than ideal -- we're
doing the best we can. FISL looks like it's going to be great -- we're
all very impressed with the work that's been done on the pre-show
organization.
