I know, my point is that it shouldn't be necessary to do that (and the above
mentioned packages are the only ones that distro-sync wants to change, anyway).
Actually, when using the --exclude, it independently downgrades hwdata from
0.229-1.fc13 to 0.227-1.fc14, so that package isn't involved. (BTW, is it
normal for this package to have a lower version in 14 than in 13?)
