I'm trying to install webmin-1.420 on my Rawhide box from an

After this segfault, the machine instantly becomes unusable. Commands
issued in a shell don't complete and can't be killed. Menu pulldowns
don't. Attempts to switch to a vty fail. CTL-Alt-Del does nothing.
Ctl-Alt-BS clears the desktop but it eventually gets redrawn. A
running xload window shows the loadavg heading for the troposphere but
I can't get a process list. The only solution I've found to date is to
powercycle the machine.
Kernel is 2.6.26-0.64.rc5.git7.fc10.i686.
Installing the same webmin rpm works perfectly on an F9 box.
Suggestions for debugging this would be welcome.
Its not webmin but the kernel crashing due to being miscompiled by the
new gcc 4.3.

"ext3: oops in do_split, miscompilation with gcc 4.3.1"
All kernels past 2.6.26-0.56.rc5.git2 affected.
