After a number of hours of use/testing, I have noticed this still
happen on at least 3 or 4 occasions... Has anyone else still had this
issue happen?
Clearly some do as there is this bug report quoted above and
also
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354422
The problem appears to be a race condition in metacity;
thus it will depend on your usage patterns, relative speeds
of variour hardware and software components involed, luck,
a phase of the moon, etc., etc.
As I understand a discussion on
bugzilla.gnome.org the race
is caused by multiple uses of a meta_display_get_current_time()
function and the current metacity version removes at least
some of these. Most likely it would be the best if you would
add your comments and observations to
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354422
The current status of this bug is FIXED and it appears that
you have an evidence that this is not the case.
