The difference is that F17 seems unstable running the two networks.
I do not know if I am the only one using Fedora as a gateway.
My situation may be unique. F17 appears unreliable
on the same machine where F16 has been reliable.
I will see if I can recreate and resolve the problem(s) on another
machine which doesn't have to be reliable.
My problem reports in the past have identified problems before
they were widely known. You are free to ignore them.
A report that 'the network went down' is worth about zero. Put yourself
in the position of, say, the NetworkManager maintainer. you have just
read a mail which says:
'Overnight the local net died and I decided to revert to the
previously installed F16."
What do you do? Where do you start?
