That is unusual on E701 I have KDE installed and that is how I do it.
I vaguely remember a Gnome shortcut--but don't know if it goes for Gnome
3--alt+F7 and an arrow like icon, or possibly a hand, appears in the
focused window--it can then be moved with the arrow keys.
(I could be completely wrong on this though)
