Already in f8, when a user is in gnome and sets up a lock screensaver (I
presume gnome-screeensaver with password enabled), when you arrive at the pc
you find the password input screen and between the buttons you can choose
one named "switch user..".
Not tested in rawhide (not at pc at the moment)
Oh, that's an interesting alternative to what I've been trying to do,
thanks. I guess I never noticed that that's there. Since I'm using
gnome, I should be using its screensaver.
I don't know what is xautolock.....
xautolock is an old X program that runs in the background; after a
customizable period of inactivity, it executes a command. I was using
it run my "switch to VT7/gdm" script. It may not be necessary if I
can use your suggestion.
Thanks!
