Applying the most recent updates (including 1:gdm-2.31.90-5.fc14.i686) prevents from a graphical login: The gdm greeter is blinking in some manner, no login pictures are shown, unable to select user.
Could go back to a stable login by downgrading to gdm-2.31.90-4.fc14.i686.
Anybody sees this too?
Kind regards

Yes, gdm appears, then only for just a few seconds and then the login menu itself appears and disappears every second and doesn't stop.

Switching to KDM probably also works, since I haven't had any login problems and I've been using KDM all along.
I changed /etc/sysconfig/desktop to KDE, KDM and GDM is still used.

Did you reboot? I've found that someone, somewhere, knows something about the desktop login that isn't corrected by merely logging out and back in.
You might also need to "yum install kdm" :-).

Twice.

Already installed (I installed system from KDE live cd). Maybe KDM is broken on my machine?
Nevermind. I'll upgrade this system later - maybe gdm problem has been fixed.

Just downgrade gdm instead. -4, from koji, works fine.
Another workaround for this issue is to configure GDM to do automatic login (assuming that you always log in as the same user). I have had automatic login configured for the longest time, and I didn't even notice the problem.
Put this in the [daemon] section of /etc/gdm/custom.conf to enable automatic login:
AutomaticLoginEnable=true AutomaticLogin=username

Yes, I'm getting it as well. I pulled this from koji to test it out since it was supposed to fix a bug in the user switch applet and I got a gdm that constantly restarts. I logged it as an issue on bodhi since I didn't know if I was missing something since I pulled directly from koji instead of waiting for it to be pushed. Looks like it wasn't something that I did though. Hopefully a -6 will be put up soon. Until then, I'll revert back to -4 as well.

Just started seeing this in my F14 x86_64 KVM guest, although gdm was last updated several days ago. An easy workaround seems to be switching to VT2, then back to VT1, which stops the blinking and lets me log in normally.

From what I can see, gdm-2.31.90-5 has been removed from updates-testing. I figure a new package will be released when this issue has been fixed.

An updated gdm-2.31.90-6.fc14 is available for testing. Please feel free to add your feedback to https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/gdm-2.31.90-6.fc14
