I'd love to see this fixed before release:

The majority works, the only thing that lets it down is the GUI to
configure 2 finger scrolling on touchpad hardware that supports
reporting finger width.
I have added patch to the BZ by Chris Bagwell that adds support for
allowing gnome-mouse-properties to allow 2 finger scrolling to be
selected on hardware that supports reporting finger width as well as
proper 2 finger scrolling.
Probably in the NTH category - but it would be great to enable 2 finger
scrolling on a whole range of hardware out of the box when F14 ships!
I have also been talking with Chris (the author of the patch) and his
issues getting this fixed upstream. He says:
"A Gnome maintainer of gnome-mouse-properties seems to be MIA and I've
not found a good contact to drive submitting that patch. Maybe
driving from distribution side is best idea for now. I had thought of
some other improvements to that app but shelved it until I see its
more likely to get changes committed."
Are we in a position to help out here? The hard work is already done, it
just needs some help to get fixed! :)
