I have tried two installs from the i386 DVD after checking sha1sum and checking the media to PASS.
Both ended in an exception that stopped the install.
Any others seeing this? Any further info I can provide?

Had the same problem with the F8T1 Dvd, was hoping it would be fixed in test 2

Looking back at the list messages, I see I had this same problem with f8t1 and it was due to trying to load a FAT32 partition as /mnt/windata when partitioning. Bug #251217. Will retry without mounting the FAT32 partition.

I would be interested in knowing if this fixes it. The bug was closed and off my radar. dosfstools was in the package set.
Can you post what your exception is so that we can see if it's actually know? "exception" is extremely vague.

I will try a second install mounting the FAT32 partition after my current install without the FAT32 partition, which is now working, finishes. I'll save the exception data to floppy if I can.

I'm attaching the file anacdump.txt obtained after the exception.

I installed both f8t1 and f8t2 without problems from the DVD image off of my hard drive.

Similar, on x86_64 when trying an install from a live CD:
