See what you have in /etc/sysconfig/keyboard first, try to change it
using system-config-keyboard and see if that file is updated with the
new layout.
Thanks. It's now set to Danish and it sticks. One little scratch though is
that when I am at the logon window it says "Keyboard: USA" but after logon
the layout is truly Danish.
