I just did a distro-sync this evening, and everything worked OK.
The repos seem kind of quiet during the holidays, so this might be
a good time.
If you install from DVD or LiveCD, you could also disable the
update-testing repos before doing your first update so you
wouldn't much (if any) stuff needing to be backed out by
distro-sync.
Yeah.... That is what I'm leaning towards... Gonna use the DVD. After a trip to
