Dear all,
Sound is no longer working.
alsa-lib: pcm_hw.c:1242:(snd_pcm_hw_open) open /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p failed: Device or resource busy alsa-lib: pcm_dmix.c:864:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave alsa-init: playback open error: Device or resource busy Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound.
With a reboot, sometimes sound comes back. What is happening?
TIA,
Antonio

Maybe you've enabled software mixer in GNOME? The best check is: killall -9 pulseaudio ;)

Thanks Leszek
killall -9 pulseaudio does the trick. How do I prevent it from kicking in? so I can avoid to do this at every reboot/start up the machine.
Regards,
Antonio
