You might want to get into the firmware interface (what some people call
'the BIOS') and look at the boot options. Check if there's one called
Fedora, and if you can promote it in the list or boot it directly. See
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface for
more details on the ins and outs here (if your system came with Windows
8 or 8.1, it's definitely a UEFI system).
