I believe you have hit the initrd fails to see root=UUID=etc, etc.
Substitute the actual partition name, i.e.,
root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 in the grub.conf kernel line.
The upgrade rpm, then rest of upgrades.
Ooops....too fast on my part...you are on F10. Bad UUID was on F11
alpha. Sorry for the noise.
