It seems like vncviewer has some issue on Fedora 18. This is what I routinely use to connect to a computer at work.
vncviewer -via username@server_ip 127.0.0.1:xx -geometry 1300x800
This works on F17 but not on F18. All I get on F18 is the output of vncviewer --help. There is absolutely no error displayed.
vncviewer -listen will also provide the output of --help and not the port information.
Does anyone know how this could be resolved? Thanks a lot!
Sadly, they removed the -via option. ;(

You might look at remmina... it has a ssh option for connections.
