Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2006-673
2006-06-07
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Product : Fedora Core 5
Name : avahi
Version : 0.6.10
Release : 1.FC5
Summary : Local network service discovery
Description :
Avahi is a system which facilitates service discovery on
a local network -- this means that you can plug your laptop or
computer into a network and instantly be able to view other people who
you can chat with, find printers to print to or find files being
shared. This kind of technology is already found in MacOS X (branded
'Rendezvous', 'Bonjour' and sometimes 'ZeroConf') and is very
convenient.

Dell 620 ATI Radeon LCD
by Chasecreek Systemhouse
OK, the issue is that the monitor is telling
FC4 that it CAN do 800x600; but when you try
to enter 800x600 it the monitor displays an
error (very faint) that is can ONLY do
1280x1024 at 60Hz.
The FC4 ATI Radeon drivers work -- it is the
Dell LCD monitor that is being incorrectly
detected.
The DDC auto-detection is seeing that the LCD
*is* able to run at 800x600 but the monitor
refuses to actually enter any mode.
What can I change or install to correct?
Thx/Bill

2.6.16-1.2245_FC6 -- No audio output after suspend -- Intel 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97
by Miles Lane
Hello,
I am running the development packages, updated today.
I often run amaroK, compiled from SVN source.
When I suspend, with amaroK running, I get no sound
output after resuming. I have amaroK configured to
use gstreamer-0.10 (current package is gstreamer-0.10.6-1).
I will check whether this audio failure happens when I do
not have an active audio application during suspend.
Here's an overview of my system hardware (an HP dv1240us laptop):

Fedora Core 5 Test Update: libsepol-1.12.17-1.fc5
by Daniel J Walsh
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2006-665
2006-06-06
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Product : Fedora Core 5
Name : libsepol
Version : 1.12.17
Release : 1.fc5
Summary : SELinux binary policy manipulation library
Description :
Security-enhanced Linux is a feature of the Linux® kernel and a number
of utilities with enhanced security functionality designed to add
mandatory access controls to Linux. The Security-enhanced Linux
kernel contains new architectural components originally developed to
improve the security of the Flask operating system. These
architectural components provide general support for the enforcement
of many kinds of mandatory access control policies, including those
based on the concepts of Type Enforcement®, Role-based Access
Control, and Multi-level Security.
libsepol provides an API for the manipulation of SELinux binary policies.
It is used by checkpolicy (the policy compiler) and similar tools, as well
as by programs like load_policy that need to perform specific transformations
on binary policies such as customizing policy boolean settings.
