fedora-updates-testing.repo
by Justin Conover
I've heard from folks in the community that sometimes Stable (core 5) gets
updated packages that break things because they haven't been tested will
enough and I know it is because the Developers aren't getting feedback. I
know the reality is that most people here are running rawhide or stable, not
a lot of folks use stable + testing, and that is were the problem is.
I know on this list that it has been asked before, and I doubt many people
are using it just because the nature of this list is to run rawhide.
Just asking if a Fedora Developer / Community relations person, can post
something some were else, like other mailing list or maybe on
FedoraForums.org News section and also included it on Fedora Weekly News.
After I told some people that fedora-updates-testing.repo existed for this
reason, they had know idea about it, some of them running rh since 7.x
Anyway, that's my idea, get the information out to a bigger audience so the
packages can be tested more before released.

How do install the latestFC5 RC
by Travis Rabe
How do I install the latest FC5 test release? I can't seem to find it as
easy as the main FC5 release? Are there some instructions for novice
users? I would like to see if the BCM43xx problem is addressed any better
in that release.

nohup ssh -R 55022:localhost:22 -N -f me@homepc &
will make the ssh connection stand alone after you log
off. Actually, I wrote a program which runs off of
cron which keeps such a connection up.

has a download of the source to the program. (C code)

[OT] ssh tunnels?
by Chasecreek Systemhouse
Somewhat OT but I haven't been able to help myself with SSH Tunneling;
please excuse.
What syntax should I use to be able to forward an SSH tunnel between
two servers -- I want to have a console login banner available from my
work machine on my home machine; I have access to ssh to my home
machine from work but not the reverse.
I need to get at the FC5 (Pre-FC6) system while at home so that I can
lots of QA points :-)
Thanks/Sx
