Good morning all,
Just wondering if there is any chance of having a two meetings at different times as the current time (15:00 UTC) will never suit me as I will always be at work. Surely others are in a similar situation.
Any suggestions anyone?
Thanks

I don't think having two meetings would work, as the point is to get a kinda group consensus on issues. However, we could certainly change the day / time of meetings if it's more convenient for more people. Could everyone interested in coming to Bugzappers meetings post what days / times work for them?
For me, 16:00 UTC to 06:00 UTC is probably OK, on any weekday.

Instead of senseless "+1" messages, why don't you setup a wiki page for meeting times and people can add their names to a table of times.
Have three or four times that people can add their name to. A name is better because that means they have a FAS account and are "QAers" in nature.

Or use the wiki template Meeting matrix.
I set one up for Bugzappers: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bugzappers_meeting_matrix
Adam - you may want to add the current time and any comments about changes or lack of changes for Daylights Saving Time. The Docs Project just finished going through this process - see example at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FDSCo_meeting_matrix

Ooh. Shiny. So we stick our initials in any box which works for us. OK, everyone get to initialling :)

Should times that conflict with another groups use of #fedora-meeting be removed from the matrix or flagged as reserved? Here is a list of groups and times. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_meeting_channel?

Note that many of them will change one hour shortly for DST. This has created conflicts in the past.

I would vote no. I don't understand this artificial scarcity of resources. It's IRC, for pity's sake, it's not like there's a limited number of meeting rooms or something. Obviously using the common channel is nice, but if we find a time that works for everyone in our group but it's currently already used by another group - I don't think that should stop us using it too.

While I agree, I will just chime in and mention the reason I think we should refrain from making 20 meeting channels: In #fedora-meeting right now there are 140 people idling (including me). If I see my nick mentioned or notice a discussion I am interested in I can chime right in. If there is something cool mentioned that I didn't know about I can notice it.
If the meeting was in #fedora-meeting-27 I don't think anyone aside from the specific group would be there or notice what was being talked about. ;)
That said, we could probibly start using fedora-meeting-1 more if there are conflicts.

DST I don't know about. As I understand it, our current policy is that meetings are synced to UTC, so in countries which do DST changes, the time of the meeting will change soon (next week in most countries). What do people think about this?

"Please keep in mind if you have Daylight Savings Time in your area. *The meeting time will not change for DST* and will remain fixed on the UTC standard." from: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FDSCo_meeting_matrix
That would work for me.
