Hello, I am a little confused. I was trying to run Fedora ARM on a VM using this article: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_Virt_ARM_on_x86 However, each time I run the virtual machine the boot process ends with "dracut-initqueue-timeout".
I tried
- Fedora Workstation 30 ARM on Fedora 30.
- Fedora Minimal 30 on Fedora 30.
- Fedora Minimal 29 on Fedora 30.
- Fedora Minimal 30 on Fedora 29.
- Fedora Minimal 29 on Fedora 29.
The same situation happend in all attempts, the minimal images were able to reach "Basic System Level", Workstation fell a way too earlier.
Have you seen it before? Have you run Fedora ARM on a VM successfully? How did you do it? Thanks for your help.
The test case hasn't really been touched since 2015. The openQA test which tries to do approximately this has also been failing more or less forever.
I haven't put a high priority on this since we have pwhalen and pbrobinson testing actual ARM hardware, so it's really not a major issue. For openQA the ultimate goal is to get aarch64 testing into production as well as staging and then have the 32-bit ARM test run in virt on aarch64, which should be more or less equivalent to running i686 tests on an x86_64 host (i.e. more or less native) - that depends on us getting some more aarch64 hardware, though.
