No, you just need to install the debug symbols. In the distribution rpms all debug symbols are stripped out and placed in separate rpms named -debuginfo since they are wasted space for the majority of users.
# yum install kdevelop-debuginfo
To get reasonable info out of it you may need other symbols as well, most (all?) of the libraries are stripped as well.
