I decided to try installing 386 Beta TC1 on one of my machines that normally runs Win7 or 64 bit Linux.
The 386 netinst failed to get to Anaconda from two USB drives and a CD. I checked the sha256 sums of the file and compared each media with the downloaded file.
I then downloaded the 386 tree and installed via PXEBOOT. The install was successful but NFS would not work, same as in my previous reports. I installed Centos 6 for the tests I wanted to run.
I then wrote the 64 bit netinst to the same usb drive that I tried with the 32 bit netinst and it worked perfectly.
I guess Linus was right when he proclaimed 32 bits was not much interest to Linux anymore.
