Ugh, no! Bad move for the corporate upstream. Don't mind if RHQ can be
installed via MySQL, but we view Postgres as our Open Source alternative
to Oracle via EnterpriseDB. Moving away from PG would be viewed by us as
a very bad thing. Not sure why a Redhat system would willingly want to
get into bed with anything associated with Oracle? If this is the
direction then we will have to have some high level talks with Redhat
principals. Again, no problem with being able to use MySQL but I view it
as vital to our business that JON continue to use PostgreSQL as a real
alternative to Oracle or anything aligned with Oracle.
