Nothing really specific ; it could even be a part of the UI that just polls some generic
API every second and then
informs other parts in the UI.
From what I have seen form Errai in the past, I think this is pretty much suited for the
job (in general, can't comment
on the RHQ code specifics).
Perhaps GWT or SmartGWT also offers something similar out of the box now. Most of the time
it does not need to be
too fancy. For the "reload" use cases, it would be enough to just transport a
"reload" signal, which then triggers the
existing reload functionality just when the user would have pushed the reload button.
