You're free to write a spec by hand. It's just that looking at other
package
reviews, almost all golang packages are based on go2rpm's output.
There are several other pieces of go software that amfora imports
that are not yet packaged. I assume I'd have to get those packaged first?
Yes.
All the dependencies need to be packaged and submitted for review as well.
