Dear Robby,
Unless you have specific needs, I'd suggest against introducing rubygem-rexml
package into Fedora, because we actually have it in Fedora already, as a
subpackage of Ruby:
~~~
$ sudo dnf info rubygem-rexml
Last metadata expiration check: 0:52:33 ago on Mon Sep 26 08:50:15 2022.
Installed Packages
Name : rubygem-rexml
Version : 3.2.5
Release : 169.fc38
Architecture : noarch
Size : 399 k
Source : ruby-3.1.2-169.fc38.src.rpm
Repository : @System
From repo : rawhide
Summary : An XML toolkit for Ruby
URL :
https://github.com/ruby/rexml
License : BSD
Description : REXML was inspired by the Electric XML library for Java, which
features an
: easy-to-use API, small size, and speed. Hopefully, REXML,
designed with the same
: philosophy, has these same features. I've tried to keep the API
as intuitive as
: possible, and have followed the Ruby methodology for method
naming and code
: flow, rather than mirroring the Java API.
:
: REXML supports both tree and stream document parsing. Stream
parsing is faster
: (about 1.5 times as fast). However, with stream parsing, you
don't get access to
: features such as XPath.
