Summary: Review Request: bash-completion-extras - EPEL7 only
supplemental bash-completion package
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: Package Review
Severity: medium

Spec URL: http://people.centos.org/jperrin/srpms/bash-completion-extras.spec
SRPM URL:
http://people.centos.org/jperrin/srpms/bash-completion-extras-2.1-6.el7.cen…
Description: The bash-completion package included in EL7 does not include many
completions for commonly used binaries included in the distribution( e.g file,
dd, getent, ip, etc). This package (derived from the EL7 spec and srpm)
restores completions for binaries included in the base OS.
The patch difference with the original spec is intended to be minimal to allow
for easy updating, and has added the base package bash-completion as a
dependency.
This package is intended strictly for EPEL7, as it is not needed in upstream
fedora, and not applicable to EL6 where bash-completion is already provided via
EPEL6.

Description: Star Traders, a simple game of interstellar trading
Home page: http://www.zap.org.au/software/trader/
Star Traders is a simple game of interstellar trading, where the objective
is to create companies, buy and sell shares, borrow and repay money, in
order to become the wealthiest player (the winner).
---
I originally wrote Star Traders for the CP/M-80 operating system, back in 1990.
As an exercise in pure nostalgia, I have rewritten it for modern Linux/POSIX
systems and am packaging it for a number of distributions. The game has even
been translated into a number of languages, including Russian, French, German,
Finnish and Croatian!
I would like Fedora to include this simple text-console game as part of its
distribution.

Description: The goal of cvechecker is to report about possible vulnerabilities
on your system, by scanning the installed software and matching the results
with
the CVE database. Indeed, this is not a bullet-proof method and you will most
likely have many false positives (vulnerability is fixed with a
revision-release, but the tool isn't able to detect the revision itself), yet
it is still better than nothing, especially if you are running a distribution
with little security coverage.

and an HTML designer are different people. The goal of CTPP development was to
achieve maximum performance with minimal basic functionality that is easily
expandable. In other words, any conceivable capabilities can be added by
writing users functions.

Summary: Review Request: thermal_daemon - A close loop thermal
monitoring and control daemon
Product: Fedora

Spec URL: http://spandruvada.fedorapeople.org/thermal_daemon.spec
SRPM URL:
http://spandruvada.fedorapeople.org/thermal_daemon-1.02-1.fc19.src.rpm
koji_build_results: http://spandruvada.fedorapeople.org/koji_build_results
Description: Thermal Daemon is a Linux daemon for monitoring and controlling
platform temperatures. Once the system temperature reaches a certain threshold,
the Linux daemon activates various cooling methods to try to cool the system.
More details can be obtained from:
https://01.org/linux-thermal-daemon/documentation/introduction-thermal-daem…http://www.linux.com/news/featured-blogs/200-libby-clark/721494-linux-therm…http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTM2OTk
It operates in two modes:
Daemon acts to cool the system under the following two modes :
1. Zero Configuration Mode
2. User defined configuration mode
1. Zero Configuration Mode
For most users, this should be enough to bring the CPU temperature of the
system under control. This uses DTS temperature sensor and uses Intel P state
driver,
Power clamp driver, Running Average Power Limit control and cpufreq as cooling
methods.
2. User defined configuration mode
This allows ACPI style configuration in a thermal XML configuration file. This
can be used to fix the buggy ACPI configuration or fine tune by adding more
sensors and cooling devices.
This is a first step in implementing a close loop thermal control in user mode
and can be enhanced based on community feedback and suggestions.
This is my first package and seeking a sponsorship.
