Summary: Review Request: rescene - Extracts RAR metadata and
recreates RAR files
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: medium

ReportedBy: konrad(a)tylerc.org

SRPM URL:
http://konradm.fedorapeople.org/fedora/SRPMS/rescene-1.0-2.fc11.src.rpm
Description:
ReScene is a mechanism for backing up and restoring the metadata from RAR
archives.
Notes:
- The license isn't written anywhere on the upstream webpage nor in the source
zip. However, I requested that upstream clarify the licensing terms of the
source and they told me it was in the public domain. I also asked that they
made this clear in the source zip, and they agreed to do so (but perhaps will
wait until the next release).
- Rpmlint has a few errors and warnings, but I think most are things expected
of Mono packages; here they are, and how I explain them:
- rescene.x86_64: E: no-binary:
This package needs to be arch-ful because it uses %{_libdir}, as per Mono
packaging guidelines.
- rescene.x86_64: W: only-non-binary-in-usr-lib
As the Mono guidelines point out, this is expected and libdir is the
right place for .exes and .dlls, as AOT information will be installed in the
same directory as the CIL .exe and .dll files.
- rescene.x86_64: W: no-documentation
Upstream doesn't have any aside from the binary's help output.

SRPM URL:

Description:
usbredir is a protocol for redirection USB traffic from a single USB device,
to a different (virtual) machine then the one to which the USB device is
attached. This package contains a number of libraries to help implementing
support for usbredir:
usbredirparser:
A library containing the parser for the usbredir protocol
usbredirhost:
A library implementing the usb-host side of a usbredir connection.
All that an application wishing to implement an usb-host needs to do is:
* Provide a libusb device handle for the device
* Provide write and read callbacks for the actual transport of usbredir data
* Monitor for usbredir and libusb read/write events and call their handlers

Celery is a task queue/job queue based on distributed message

scheduling as well.
The execution units, called tasks, are executed concurrently on a
single or more worker servers. Tasks can execute asynchronously
(in the background) or synchronously (wait until ready).
Celery is already used in production to process millions of tasks
a day.
