[Bug 1326445] New: Missing class in /usr/lib/java/leveldbjni-all.jar
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1326445
Bug ID: 1326445
Summary: Missing class in /usr/lib/java/leveldbjni-all.jar
Product: Fedora
Version: 24
Component: leveldbjni
Assignee: puntogil(a)libero.it
Reporter: mattias.ellert(a)fysast.uu.se
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: java-sig-commits(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
puntogil(a)libero.it
Description of problem:
Comparing the content of /usr/lib/java/leveldbjni-all.jar
(i.e. the output of jar tf /usr/lib/java/leveldbjni-all.jar)
as installed by leveldbjni-1.8-8.fc23.x86_64 and by
leveldbjni-1.8-10.fc24.x86_64 the following class files are missing in the f24
build (which is alse the build used in rawhide):
org/fusesource/leveldbjni/All.class
org/fusesource/leveldbjni/JniDBFactory$1.class
org/fusesource/leveldbjni/JniDBFactory$OptionsResourceHolder$1.class
org/fusesource/leveldbjni/JniDBFactory$OptionsResourceHolder$2.class
org/fusesource/leveldbjni/JniDBFactory$OptionsResourceHolder.class
org/fusesource/leveldbjni/JniDBFactory.class
This breaks packages (like e.g. hadoop) that expect to find the JniDBFactory
class in this jar.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
leveldbjni-1.8-10.fc24

[Bug 1327557] New: make nosync multilib
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1327557
Bug ID: 1327557
Summary: make nosync multilib
Product: Fedora
Version: 23
Component: nosync
Assignee: mizdebsk(a)redhat.com
Reporter: kparal(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: java-sig-commits(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
mizdebsk(a)redhat.com, msimacek(a)redhat.com,
msrb(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
Please make nosync multilib, i.e. make the i686 version available in the x86_64
repos. It is useful when used in combination with mock when building i686
packages:
https://marcin.juszkiewicz.com.pl/2016/04/15/how-to-speed-up-mock/
Mock man page says:
# if you want to speed up the package installation and the build process, mock
# can use nosync library to skip fsync and related calls from programs called
# from within mock. It needs nosync library to be installed and for multilib
# target, it requires both architectures of nosync to be present. If these
# conditions aren't met, it won't be enabled
# config_opts['nosync'] = False
Having i686 version of nosync in x86_64 repos would make the installation easy,
and also it would automatically update both versions of the package when there
is an update.
You can request nosync being marked as multilib here:
https://pagure.io/mash/issues
Thank you.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
nosync-1.0-3.fc23.x86_64
