[Bug 958010] New: plexus-container-default: Should be retired
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Product: Fedora
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=958010
Bug ID: 958010
Summary: plexus-container-default: Should be retired
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: plexus-container-default
Severity: unspecified
Priority: unspecified
Assignee: fedora(a)matbooth.co.uk
Reporter: mizdebsk(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: fedora(a)matbooth.co.uk,

mizdebsk(a)redhat.com
Depends On: 958008
Category: ---
Description of problem:
plexus-container-default is unmaintained upstream for several years and two
other packages (plexus-containers-container-default and sisu-inject-plexus)
provide mostly compatible API. Because of that plexus-container-default should
be retired.
Currently gradle is the only package that requires or build-requires
plexus-container-default; gradle should migrate to more recent container to
keep working.

Description of problem:
Apache Hadoop has a component called httpfs which uses the catalina.sh and
other shell scripts from the tomcat source. It does not appear the shell
scripts from the source are included in any of the tomcat rpms.
Is there a reason not to have these scripts packaged? Can a subpackage be
updated/created that includes these shell scripts?

[Bug 1001248] New: jogl2 : duplicate documentation files / potentially conflicting
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1001248
Bug ID: 1001248
Summary: jogl2 : duplicate documentation files / potentially
conflicting
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: jogl2
Assignee: c.david86(a)gmail.com
Reporter: bugs.michael(a)gmx.net
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: c.david86(a)gmail.com,
java-sig-commits(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Blocks: 993551 (F20UnversionedDocDirs)
Duplicate documentation files have been detected in the package
builds for Rawhide and Fedora 20. The likely cause is the unversioned
docdirs change in Fedora 20.
If your package %installs documentation files into %{_docdir}/%{name}/ to
store them in a subpackage, this now conflicts with using the %doc
macro in the base package. Since Fedora 20, the %doc macro installs into
the unversioned %{_docdir}/%{name}/ and includes everything in that
directory. One obvious fix is to decide between either using %doc or
installing into %{_docdir}/%{name}/ manually as explained in the
Packaging tricks Wiki section (for past dist releases and the versioned
docdir).

[Bug 1004310] New: tycho: Incorrect usage of %add_maven_depmap
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1004310
Bug ID: 1004310
Summary: tycho: Incorrect usage of %add_maven_depmap
Product: Fedora
Version: 20
Component: tycho
Assignee: rgrunber(a)redhat.com
Reporter: mizdebsk(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: java-sig-commits(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
kdaniel(a)redhat.com, mizdebsk(a)redhat.com,
rgrunber(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
Tycho calls %add_maven_depmap with second argument az ZIP file. Currently
%add_maven_depmap only supports installing JAR and POM files [1]. Behavior is
unspecified if ZIP file is passed. Currently it (sort of) works but Tycho is
going to break with future versions of XMvn and Java Packages Tools if this bug
is not fixed.
If you want Tycho to keep working after update to XMvn 1.0.0 and Java Packages
Tools 3.0.0 then you need to change depmaps for all non-JAR and non-POM
artifact and add artifact extensions, for example:
<dependency>
<maven>
<groupId>org.sonatype.tycho</groupId>
<artifactId>tycho-bundles-external</artifactId>
<extension>zip</extension>
<version>0.18.1</version>
</maven>
<jpp>
<groupId>JPP/tycho</groupId>
<artifactId>tycho-bundles-external</artifactId>
<extension>zip</extension>
<version>0.18.1</version>
</jpp>
</dependency>
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.18.1-4
