[Bug 990588] New: Package the tomcat shell scripts
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=990588
Bug ID: 990588
Summary: Package the tomcat shell scripts
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: tomcat
Assignee: ivan.afonichev(a)gmail.com

Description of problem:
Apache Hadoop has a component called httpfs which uses the catalina.sh and
other shell scripts from the tomcat source. It does not appear the shell
scripts from the source are included in any of the tomcat rpms.
Is there a reason not to have these scripts packaged? Can a subpackage be
updated/created that includes these shell scripts?

[Bug 978306] New: glassfish-el: version 3.0 is available
by Red Hat Bugzilla

Description of problem:
Final version of glassfish-el 3.0 has been recently released. This version is
needed by latest glassfish-jsp (#960404), but please don't rush with this
update. This is major update, glassfish-el 3.0 is reference implementation of
EL API from Java EE 7. We should first decide how and when to update to Java EE
7 APIs in Fedora.

[Bug 842346] New: Properly migrate tomcat to systemd

Classification: Fedora
OS: Unspecified
Reporter: johannbg(a)gmail.com
Type: Bug
Documentation: ---
Hardware: Unspecified
Mount Type: ---
Status: NEW
Component: tomcat
Product: Fedora
Description of problem:
Let's try and properly migrate tomcat to native systemd units the
tomcat.service is just an ugly hack.
I propose that we split tomcat startup into 4 units...
1 tomcat.service
2 tomcat-security.service
3 tomcat@.service ( For multiple instances )
4.tomcat-security@.service ( For multiple instance )
Have all the required environmental parameters in one configuration file only
( /etc/tomcat/tomcat.conf )

[Bug 977980] New: javapackages-tools: mvn-rpmbuild should be marked as deprecated
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=977980
Bug ID: 977980
Summary: javapackages-tools: mvn-rpmbuild should be marked as
deprecated
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: javapackages-tools
Keywords: FutureFeature, Triaged
Severity: unspecified
Priority: medium
Assignee: mizdebsk(a)redhat.com
Reporter: mizdebsk(a)redhat.com

sochotni(a)redhat.com, tradej(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
mvn-rpmbuild should be deprecated (but not removed yet). Ideally the script
itself would print a warning saying that it's not supposed to be used any
longer and that users should mograte to other ways of building packages.

[Bug 957181] New: hawtjni: missing barriers in cache initialization
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Product: Fedora
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=957181
Bug ID: 957181
Summary: hawtjni: missing barriers in cache initialization
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: hawtjni
Severity: unspecified
Priority: unspecified
Assignee: mgoldman(a)redhat.com
Reporter: fweimer(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org

mgoldman(a)redhat.com, mizdebsk(a)redhat.com
Blocks: 957130
Category: ---
The following code is generated from the example:
void cachebarFields(JNIEnv *env, jobject lpObject)
{
if (barFc.cached) return;
barFc.clazz = env->GetObjectClass(lpObject);
barFc.a = env->GetFieldID(barFc.clazz, "a", "I");
barFc.b = env->GetFieldID(barFc.clazz, "b", "J");
barFc.c = env->GetFieldID(barFc.clazz, "c", "[B");
barFc.c5 = env->GetFieldID(barFc.clazz, "c5", "B");
barFc.prev = env->GetFieldID(barFc.clazz, "prev", "J");
barFc.cached = 1;
}
There are no barriers, so readers may observe the write to the "cached" member
before the other members.
(One of the barFc.cached checks is redundant, BTW.)
