[Bug 815177] New: Jetty user shows up as login in gdm
by Red Hat Bugzilla
Please do not reply directly to this email. All additional
comments should be made in the comments box of this bug.
Summary: Jetty user shows up as login in gdm
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=815177
Summary: Jetty user shows up as login in gdm
Product: Fedora
Version: 17
Platform: x86_64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: low
Priority: unspecified
Component: jetty
AssignedTo: sochotni(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: smooge(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: overholt(a)redhat.com, sochotni(a)redhat.com,
java-sig-commits(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
kdaniel(a)redhat.com, mizdebsk(a)redhat.com
Classification: Fedora
Story Points: ---
Type: Bug
Regression: ---
Mount Type: ---
Documentation: ---
Description of problem:
Installed Fedora 17 Beta and chose customized install with eclipse added in.
After first boot, the user jetty shows up as a possible login instead of being
invisible like other system accounts.
Reinstalled and confirmed account shows up.
I believe the issue is due to
jetty:x:995:992::/usr/share/jetty:/bin/sh
and jetty having a bourne shell. I expect it needs to have a nologin script
especially for security reasons in various audits.

by Red Hat Bugzilla
Please do not reply directly to this email. All additional
comments should be made in the comments box of this bug.
Summary: Missing tomcat-api and tomcat-util POM files in tomcat-lib
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803495
Summary: Missing tomcat-api and tomcat-util POM files in
tomcat-lib
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: Unspecified
OS/Version: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: medium
Priority: unspecified
Component: tomcat
AssignedTo: ivan.afonichev(a)gmail.com
ReportedBy: juan.hernandez(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: agrimm(a)gmail.com, akurtako(a)redhat.com,
java-sig-commits(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
ivan.afonichev(a)gmail.com, kdaniel(a)redhat.com
Classification: Fedora
Story Points: ---
Type: ---
Regression: ---
Mount Type: ---
Documentation: ---
Description of problem:
The tomcat-lib package doesn't include the tomcat-api and tomcat-util packages.
These are dependencies of tomcat-catalina, so building any package that
requires tomcat-catalina fails.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
tomcat-lib-7.0.26-1.fc18.noarch
How reproducible:
Always.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build with any package that requires tomcat-catalina.
Actual results:
The build fails because of the missing dependencies.
Expected results:
The build should complete without errors.
