Summary: /usr/share/tomcat/webapps is a link

Summary: /usr/share/tomcat/webapps is a link
Product: Fedora
Version: 15
Platform: Unspecified
OS/Version: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: unspecified
Priority: unspecified
Component: tomcat

Classification: Fedora

Type: ---
I get the following in my catalina.out:
SEVERE: Unable to create directory for deployment: /usr/share/tomcat/webapps
Sep 26, 2011 1:44:53 PM org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig start
SEVERE: Application base [/usr/share/tomcat/webapps] for host [localhost] does
not exist or is not a directory. deployOnStartUp and autoDeploy have been set
to false to prevent deployment errors. Other errors may still occur.
The permissions are fine (root.tomcat, 775). Even with 777 - the same error. I
guess there is some check and it gets confused by the symbolic link to
/var/lib/tomcat/webapps.
I deploy using /etc/tomcat/Catalina/localhost/ROOT.xml; Eg.
<Context path="/" docBase="/path/to/some.war" debug="0">
</Context>
The version I use: tomcat-7.0.21-1.fc15.noarch
This used to work with 7.0.20!!
As a workaround, I removed the symbolic link and created the directory in
/usr/share/tomcat/webapps. Now everything runs fine again.

Currently some of the tomcat 7 jars built do not have associated manifests.
Eclipse will need these osgi manifests to be able to resolve dependencies
against tomcat 7.
PATCH :

changes tested with mock on fedora-rawhide-i386.

Summary: yum installs maven2 instead of maven

Summary: yum installs maven2 instead of maven
Product: Fedora
Version: 15
Platform: x86_64
OS/Version: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: unspecified
Priority: unspecified
Component: maven
AssignedTo: sochotni(a)redhat.com

CC: akurtako(a)redhat.com, sochotni(a)redhat.com,
java-sig-commits(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Classification: Fedora
Story Points: ---
Type: ---
Description of problem:
yum shows the maven version as 3.x, but 2.x actually installs.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
How reproducible:
Steps to Reproduce:
1. "sudo yum info maven" shows version 3
2. "sudo yum install maven" to install. Note that maven2 package installs
3. "mvn -v" shows version 2.
Actual results:
mvn -v shows version 2
Expected results:
mvn -v shows version 3
Additional info:
I manually downloaded and install mvn from apache, so it's somewhat painful to
reproduce this currently on my system.
