Bug ID: 1327557 Summary: make nosync multilib Product: Fedora Version: 23 Component: nosync Assignee: mizdebsk@redhat.com Reporter: kparal@redhat.com QA Contact: extras-qa@fedoraproject.org CC: java-sig-commits@lists.fedoraproject.org, mizdebsk@redhat.com, msimacek@redhat.com, msrb@redhat.com
Description of problem: Please make nosync multilib, i.e. make the i686 version available in the x86_64 repos. It is useful when used in combination with mock when building i686 packages: https://marcin.juszkiewicz.com.pl/2016/04/15/how-to-speed-up-mock/
Mock man page says: # if you want to speed up the package installation and the build process, mock # can use nosync library to skip fsync and related calls from programs called # from within mock. It needs nosync library to be installed and for multilib # target, it requires both architectures of nosync to be present. If these # conditions aren't met, it won't be enabled # config_opts['nosync'] = False
Having i686 version of nosync in x86_64 repos would make the installation easy, and also it would automatically update both versions of the package when there is an update.
You can request nosync being marked as multilib here: https://pagure.io/mash/issues
Thank you.
