--- Comment #8 from Milan Crha <mcrha(a)redhat.com> ---
Here [1] is a test build for Fedora 39 with the split of the fedora-langpacks
plugin into a separate subpackage (gnome-software-fedora-langpacks). Could
someone give it a try, please? Simple:
sudo dnf copr enable mcrha/gnome-software_langpacks
will enable the repo.
I'll drop the repo once this bug is resolved.
By the way, should the Workstation variant "enforce" install of the new
package? It will be better, from my point of view, because the "Recommends" are
optional, thus not always installed (some people might want to uninstall
gnome-software from the system, though). Similarly, there is a
gnome-software-rpm-ostree package, which makes sense only in Silverblue, still
it is part of the Recommends, thus it can be installed also on Workstation,
where it is useless (the rpm-ostree plugin takes care whether it can be used or
not in runtime).
