Similar problem has been detected:
I have been trying to run Fedora 26 candidate (July5 version) with btrfs.
Gnome crashes too often with btrfs. Gnome is stable with ext4
Since I could not stay with btrfs for /home (which was a subvolume of / ), I
created a new /home as ext4 and copied
all my data to it. Gnome works better (my gnome extensions do not crash) and
thats about it.
I am finding, perhaps due to my making changes, that it can take two logons to
get into the system. Again, this may be due to my actions
My fstab will give you an idea of what I did.
