(the pdf backend of cairo checks one thing, the ftview's embolden mode checks another, and some of the relevant code behaves differently under 32-bit vs 64-bit mode). 'WenQuanYi Zen Hei' (wqy-zenhei-fonts) seems to be worst affected font, but you should see improvements with "Droid Sans" and others.
Hi,
could you point me to specific glyph index in a specific font which shows the problem in ftview in the embolden mode? I can not find a glyph showing the problem there.
