Description of problem: trying to build qt5-qtbase 5.6.2 for Fedora Rawhide
(this version of Qt5 required by another project) and got error during
./configure stage.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Qt 5.6.2,
harfbuzz: 1.4.0-1.fc26.
How reproducible: try to build Qt 5.6.2 Static with this ./configure options:
./configure \
-prefix "%_builddir/qt" \
-release \
-opensource \
-confirm-license \
-system-zlib \
-system-libpng \
-system-libjpeg \
-system-freetype \
-system-harfbuzz \
-system-pcre \
-system-xcb \
-system-xkbcommon-x11 \
-no-opengl \
-no-gtkstyle \
-static \
-nomake examples \
-nomake tests
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just try to build under rawhide. It will fail on harfbuzz test stage.
2.
3.
Actual results:
checking for HarfBuzz...
g++ -c -pipe -O2 -Wall -W -fPIC -I. -I../../../mkspecs/linux-g++ -o harfbuzz.o
harfbuzz.cpp
g++ -Wl,-O1 -o harfbuzz harfbuzz.o -lharfbuzz
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/6.3.1/../../../../lib64/libharfbuzz.so:
undefined reference to `FT_Get_Var_Blend_Coordinates'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
gmake: *** [Makefile:85: harfbuzz] Error 1
HarfBuzz disabled.
HarfBuzz system library support cannot be enabled due to functionality tests!
Turn on verbose messaging (-v) to ./configure to see the final report.
If you believe this message is in error you may use the continue
switch (-continue) to ./configure to continue.
Expected results:
Successful build.
Additional info:
Under Fedora 25 and harfbuzz version 1.3.2 it works fine.
File used by Qt 5.6.2 to test harfbuzz:

Dear maintainers,
Kazakh (kk_KZ) language is missing from system-config-language tool.
Could you please add it to the list in system-config-language and also enable
Kazakh team for system-config-language translation on fedora.zanata.com?
Thanks,

[Fedora-i18n-bugs] [Bug 851950] New: Latin ligatures need 'liga' standard ligature lookups
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=851950
Bug ID: 851950
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
Severity: low
Version: 17
Priority: unspecified
CC: fonts-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
i18n-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
petersen(a)redhat.com, psatpute(a)redhat.com
Assignee: psatpute(a)redhat.com
Summary: Latin ligatures need 'liga' standard ligature lookups
Regression: ---
Story Points: ---
Classification: Fedora
OS: All
Reporter: deron.meranda(a)gmail.com
Type: Bug
Documentation: ---
Hardware: All
Mount Type: ---
Status: NEW
Component: liberation-fonts
Product: Fedora
Description of problem:
Glyphs in the Latin Ligature block (U+FB00 .. U+FB06), such as "fi" and "fl",
should have the OpenType 'liga' lookup features defined. That will allow text
renderers to automatically apply the ligature glyph.
Additionally, for completeness, the ligature caret horizontal positions should
be appropriately set for these glyphs.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
liberation-fonts-2.00.0
Additional info:
You may need to solve bug #851790 first.
Also the "fi" (and "ffi" if existing) should exclude dotless-i
scripts/languages, e.g., Turkish.

[Fedora-i18n-bugs] [Bug 1442002] New: rpmlint
by bugzilla@redhat.com
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1442002
Bug ID: 1442002
Summary: rpmlint
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Component: translate-toolkit
Assignee: dwayne(a)translate.org.za
Reporter: petersen(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: dwayne(a)translate.org.za,
i18n-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org
Description of problem:
rpmlint for translate-toolkit gives some errors
due to the shebangs in the installed *.py files.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
How reproducible:
100%
Steps to Reproduce:
1. rpmlint -i translate-toolkit
Actual results:
:
translate-toolkit.noarch: E: wrong-script-interpreter
/usr/lib/python3.6/site-packages/translate/convert/convert.py /usr/bin/env
python
This script uses an interpreter which is either an inappropriate one or
located in an inappropriate directory for packaged system software.
translate-toolkit.noarch: E: non-executable-script
/usr/lib/python3.6/site-packages/translate/convert/convert.py 644 /usr/bin/env
python
This text file contains a shebang or is located in a path dedicated for
executables, but lacks the executable bits and cannot thus be executed. If
the file is meant to be an executable script, add the executable bits,
otherwise remove the shebang or move the file elsewhere.
:
more or less for all *.py files, which have /usr/bin wrapper scripts anyway.
Expected results:
No rpmlint errors.
Additional info:
https://github.com/translate/translate/issues/3609 is the upstream issue I
opened.
