[Fedora-i18n-bugs] [Bug 1133283] New: initially wrong layout
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1133283
Bug ID: 1133283
Summary: initially wrong layout
Product: Fedora
Version: 19
Component: ibus
Assignee: tfujiwar(a)redhat.com
Reporter: stsp(a)list.ru
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: i18n-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
shawn.p.huang(a)gmail.com, tfujiwar(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
When you just started the session, after the
first switch from EN to RU layout, the initial
typing will be latinic. After some time it will
become cyrillic. The subsequent switches do not
have such a problem: the layout is correct immediately
after the switch. But with "ibus restart" the bug
can be repeated again.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ibus-1.5.7-6.fc19.x86_64
How reproducible:
easily
Steps to Reproduce:
1. ibus restart
2. switch layout
3. type quickly
Actual results:
Initial typing has old layout, eventually
changing to the correct one. The delay is
2-3 seconds, you can type quite enough to
get annoyed.
Expected results:
Correct layout immediately. No single char
should be typed with old layout after the switch.

[Fedora-i18n-bugs] [Bug 1132511] New: Missing U+05BA (point holam haser for vav) on the biblical hebrew layout (il biblical)
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1132511
Bug ID: 1132511
Summary: Missing U+05BA (point holam haser for vav) on the
biblical hebrew layout (il biblical)
Product: Fedora
Version: 20
Component: xkeyboard-config
Severity: low
Assignee: peter.hutterer(a)redhat.com
Reporter: alexandre.bos(a)mykolab.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: i18n-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
peter.hutterer(a)redhat.com
Created attachment 929210
--> https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=929210&action=edit
Screenshot of the documentation of the Tiro layout version 1.5 showing what
should happen when shift+5 is pressed
Description of problem:
The "il biblical" layout does not allow to type the Unicode character U+05BA.
However, according to the documentation of the layout (Tiro layout version
1.5), available on the link provided below, U+05BA should be accessible with
the combination shift+5 (see page 7 and/or the attached screenshot).
http://www.sbl-site.org/Fonts/BiblicalHebrewTiroManual.pdf
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
version 2.10.1 revision 2.fc20
Also, this bug seems not to be fixed in the latest version (2.11), neither in
the repository:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xkeyboard-config/plain/symbols/il
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a console (in my case, LXTerminal under LXDE)
2. Enter "setxkbmap il biblical"
3. In any window (Emacs, libre office, python shell etc.), type the letter vav
(with the key corresponding to U on a usual QWERTY keyboard), and then try to
insert a "point holam haser for vav" with the combination shift+5.
Actual results:
The vav appears, but not the holam.
Expected results:
The character U+05BA should be input.
Additional info:
This behavior is consistent with the description given in
/usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/il: at line 212, the "VoidSymbol" can be replaced by
"U05BA" to fix this bug. I tested this fix myself and it works.

[Fedora-i18n-bugs] [Bug 1140502] New: Commit preedit even if someone press right-left arrow
by Red Hat Bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1140502
Bug ID: 1140502
Summary: Commit preedit even if someone press right-left arrow
Product: Fedora
Version: 20
Component: ibus-typing-booster
Assignee: apatil(a)redhat.com
Reporter: psatpute(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: apatil(a)redhat.com, i18n-bugs(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,
mfabian(a)redhat.com
Description of problem:
This has become very problematic.
If i type something and commit i get space at end of word. But if i want to
remove that space with backspace key. Typing booster immediately capture
previous text and again start showing candidate window.
Again if i press commit, again i get extra space :( This keeps on going on.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ibus-typing-booster-1.2.10-2.fc20.noarch
How reproducible:
Everytime
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type some work with ibus-typing-booster selecting marathi-hunspell itrans
IME
2. press "pravin" and press space.
3. You will get extra space. Try to remove extra space with backspace
4. Again pravin get selected in candidate
Actual results:
cant get rid of extra space.
Expected results:
Space should not come again. I think making right-left arrow key commit the
candidate without adding space will do the job. Hopefully it will again not
select candidate.
Additional info:
This can be problematic when use select horizontal viewing of candidate window
since it can affect selecting candidate in horizontal view.
