Summary: no autologin for liveuser after logging out
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=481256
Summary: no autologin for liveuser after logging out
Product: Fedora
Version: rawhide
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Keywords: i18n, Regression
Severity: medium
Priority: low
Component: gdm
AssignedTo: jmccann(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: petersen(a)redhat.com
QAContact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: jmccann(a)redhat.com, rstrode(a)redhat.com,
fedora-i18n-bugs(a)redhat.com
Estimated Hours: 0.0
Classification: Fedora
Target Release: ---
Description of problem:
No sure if it is intentional but with current gdm in rawhide after liveuser
logs out, autologin is not available at gdm login: which makes it hard to
change language or keyboard settings - specially if liveuser got autologged in
and actually had wanted to change language or kbd initially.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gdm-2.25.2-2.fc11
How reproducible:
100%
Steps to Reproduce:
1. login as liveuser in live rawhide spin
2. logout
3. try to change lang/kbd
Actual results:
3. no autologin so hard to change lang/kbd specially if one does not know
"Other... -> liveuser".
Expected results:
autologin to be available as in F10.

Hi,
I have sent the keymap file to bugzilla(a)redhat.com and also cc'd
handa(a)m17n.org.
I can provide you all the information about the locale.
Let me know what all information you would require, I would be honored to help
out. In the mean time I will look at the locale files
In the mean time I will look at the locale files under /usr/share/i18n/locale
and compile the information based on that.
Thanks again

no, nothing like this.
but locale file is very important for any language, one cant login in his
locale without locale file
locale file contains information about time, numeric, monetary, message for
particular language
check /usr/share/i18n/locale for other language locales

yeah, i will require kashmiri locale information like, what we call monday in
kashmiri, time's AM-PM, yes, no expressions etc.
I done recently for kashmiri Devanagari script

Hi Pravin,
If I understand it correctly you mean that before we can use the keyboard
layout there should be locale file of Kashmiri(arabic) in glibc.
Is it also correct that you are willing to write the locale file for
kashmiri(arabic script) for glibc, if I provide you the alphabet?
If that is correct please let me know where to send the alphabet files. I will
be more than willing to send it across and extend any other help that you might
need.
Thank you very much for your help.
