--- Comment #3 from Mike FABIAN mfabian@redhat.com ---
Is there any logging in ibus that I can enable to let you see what's going on?
The startscript /usr/libexec/ibus-engine-table contains:
# Set this variable to something > 0 to get more debug output. # (Debug output may show up in the log file and/or in the lookup table): #export IBUS_TABLE_DEBUG_LEVEL=1 # # Set this to something if you want benchmarking (The profiling output # will appear in the debug long when "ibus restart" is executed): #export IBUS_TABLE_PROFILE=yes
When setting the IBUS_TABLE_DEBUG_LEVEL variable like this:
# Set this variable to something > 0 to get more debug output. # (Debug output may show up in the log file and/or in the lookup table): export IBUS_TABLE_DEBUG_LEVEL=1 # # Set this to something if you want benchmarking (The profiling output # will appear in the debug long when "ibus restart" is executed): export IBUS_TABLE_PROFILE=yes
and restarting ibus ("ibus restart"), some more debug output will be written to ~/.ibus/tables/debug.log
You can try "tail -F ~/.ibus/tables/debug.log"
while typing and see whether anything interesting appears.
