Build system!!
by Scott Williams
I have installed and setup plague on my machine, sans the web interface. I
have the server and build mostly configured, set for localhost at the
moment. This should work well for us, since it's a distributed build
system, and as the contributor pool grows we call all work out of the same
environment.
I'm also pulling down all the updates-newkey sources for f9, and then will
pull all the f10 src updates.
It should be important to note that Fedora 9 will be EOL in 3 months, so I'm
going to try to be ready for that as I get this build system set up.
Next on todo list is getting web interface set up for plague.

Requests and Bug Tracking
by Scott Williams
We need a system for requesting packages, and for keeping track of bugs.
Initially I would think bugzilla would be an option, but what about
something like SugarCRM or some other Knowledgebase that's more fun than
Bugzilla?
Wikipedia doesn't seem at all like a good idea for tracking requests and
bugs.

Sizes of F7 & F8
by Basil Mohamed Gohar
I know I keep bringing this issue up, but since hosting is my primary
deal here, I feel it's appropriate for me to do so. ;)
The sizes of the releases & updates directories, on disk, for both
Fedora 7 & 8, respectively, are as follows:
71G domains/repo.fedoraforever.org/fedora/releases/7/
86G domains/repo.fedoraforever.org/fedora/releases/8/
54G domains/repo.fedoraforever.org/fedora/updates/7/
57G domains/repo.fedoraforever.org/fedora/updates/8/
Summing everything up means we get 268GB, which of course, is a bit over
the size of my 250GB drives. So, what I have done is I've taken the
Fedora 7 updates directory and placed it on my primary drive, and then
symlinked it from the spare drive, which is, right now, mostly for
Fedora Forever duty.
I'll keep you all posted if I find anything else out interesting.

Syncing Fedora 8
by Basil Mohamed Gohar
I'm currently pulling down the release directory of Fedora 8 from
kernel.org's Fedora mirror. I am hoping to be able to fit both Fedora 7
& 8 on one drive, but in the likely event that I cannot, I will remove
all Fedora 7 data and stick to Fedora 8. It is possible that I can do
some tricks here and there to squeeze everything onto my spare drive,
but if not, then I will try to split them across both of my system's
drive. We'll see what happens. ;)

Ordering a second hard drive
by Basil Mohamed Gohar
I just wanted give an update that I've decided to go ahead and get a
second hard drive for my server, so that means I now have 250GB + 250GB.
I'll probably use the second drive primarily for EOL purposes, but I
don't mind spilling into the 1st one if space is low on the second one.
This should at least enable us to mirror all or almost all of Fedora 7 +
8. We'll see about other versions as we proceed. ;)
I'll update again once the server has the drive installed.
