If I understand it correctly, not filtering out
the device may result in
a situation when LVM would have a different view of an LVM setup than we
would because LVM would e.g. list such imperfect device in the list of
VG's PVs, but we wouldn't know that device (it won't be in the device
tree, right?). That might be quite a problem, especially in combination
with things like LVM RAID and such things. However, I'm not sure that
would be an issue in cases where imperfect devices are
supported/enabled. I think this needs some testing on the case it tries
to improve.
