Do we really want to force the whole dev team onto Rawhide until we
get f15 packaging sorted out? Or is that not what you're suggesting?

After its pushed you should be able to install aeolus from rawhide on
F15 with the following commands:
sudo yum install fedora-release-rawhide
sudo yum install aeolus-all --enablerepo=rawhide
This should pull in the aeolus components unless there are any
conflicting dependencies. Whether or not it works is another matter.
Of course since we're setting up a F15 repo of our own, users can just
employ that instead.
