Subject: Re: Top 5 features for next release
Hey Matt,
Thanks for the comments
Do you think these are still the top 5?
1) New UI design!
2) RHEV-M and VMWare vSphere support
3) Deployable concept
4) aeolus-image CLI
5) Reduced complexity
Or is there something else we should be promoting?

Nitpick: we've dropped the "Design & Deploy" tab.
Yep, this first stab is a month old now :)

Is CondorCloud ready/functional today? Does it have a webpage? This
question is a little off-topic, but I don't know a ton about CondorCloud
and suspect others in the community won't either, so it might be nice if
we could drop a link to it in our release notes or something of the
sort.
I agree, I don't think it's quite ready for promoting as part of the
release yet.

Pardon my ignorance here, but what is the status of this? Will it make it
into this release?
I don't think so, no
Greg's config server integration patch may go in, but we're not actually
using it for anything in this release
I don't think we have a solution for RHEV-M VM IP addresses, apart from
asking people to install the RHEV guest agent ... which I think is only
available on Windows currently
> - Stop all the instances in a deployment in one click
This feature does not exist right now. Stopping instances in general is
kind of a clunky workflow, and from talking to Ken yesterday, it sounds
like it will take a bit of UI work to get this in place. It might be
nice to get this in, but it seems it won't be trivial.
Yeah, I think I just assumed we'd have it
And yes, agree on the clunkiness - I spent a long time this morning
struggling to find the page with the "Stop" button

It would be great if we had some good documentation around this
online. There's a wiki page, but it could probably stand to be
cleaned up and moved somewhere other than a defunct wiki install:
http://aeolusproject.org/page/Launching_a_Deployment_with_CLI_Tools
(I believe this is in progress, but want to mention it anyway.)
Well, Martyn wrote up a man page ...
Note: Pushing a single image to multiple providers is not currently supported. ATM We
have to do a build for each provider. So best if we take that one off the list :)

Solr has just been removed as well.
Yep
Cheers,
Mark.
