Can you please check the following:
ldapsearch -x -H ldap://localhost -D 'cn=Directory Manager' -W -b cn=config
'(nsslapd-pluginInitfunc=cis_init)'
And paste the result here? Mine looks like:
# Case Ignore String Syntax, plugins, config
dn: cn=Case Ignore String Syntax,cn=plugins,cn=config
objectClass: top
objectClass: nsSlapdPlugin
objectClass: extensibleObject
cn: Case Ignore String Syntax
nsslapd-pluginPath: libsyntax-plugin
nsslapd-pluginInitfunc: cis_init
nsslapd-pluginType: syntax
nsslapd-pluginEnabled: on
nsslapd-pluginId: directorystring-syntax
nsslapd-pluginVersion: 1.3.5.a1.git21d438f
nsslapd-pluginVendor: 389 Project
nsslapd-pluginDescription: DirectoryString attribute syntax plugin
We are looking to see if the pluginEnabled is on, and that the types are
correct. Also, make sure that your rpms are all intact and check out:
sudo rpm -V 389-ds-base
I hope this helps.
